Practising songs means cutting them into small parts – intro, verse riff, solo, the tricky four bars – and often changing their key, tuning or speed. Doing that by hand in Guitar Pro or a MIDI editor takes minutes per song. ScoreShaper does it for your whole library at once, for guitarists, bassists, drummers and keyboard players alike.

• Cuts songs into parts by sections, every N bars, every N beats (down to one beat), by repeats, by silent bars or into equal parts – or keeps whole songs.

• Finds repeated riffs and leaves out duplicates, so you practise each riff once.

• Changes tracks: keep only guitars, remove drums for a backing track, merge or split tracks, rename and reorder.

• Writes out repeats and alternate endings as plain bars.

• Transposes, or moves every song to one key (C/Am, G/Em …) – the key is found from the notes played.

• Retunes guitars and basses (Drop D, Eb standard, your own tuning) while every note keeps its pitch.

• Practice speeds: each part at 70 %, 85 %, 100 % … plus a speed-up file that gets faster each round.

• Library tools: finds exact copies and songs with the same music, writes a sortable catalog (key, tuning, tempo, techniques, difficulty level) and filters songs by tuning, key, tempo or level.

• Saves Guitar Pro 7 (.gp) and standard MIDI (.mid) files.

• Reads Guitar Pro 3 to 8 (.gp3, .gp4, .gp5, .gpx, .gp), MIDI, MusicXML, Capella and alphaTex – it even turns MIDI files into tablature.

• 39 ready-made presets, from "Practice loops: 4 bars, each once" to "Backing track without guitars".

Tested on 10,000 files: about 0.8 seconds per song on an ordinary 4-core PC.

REQUIREMENTS

Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), 4 GB RAM. No installation, no account, no internet needed. To open the .gp results you need Guitar Pro 7 or 8 or another program that reads Guitar Pro 7 files; any MIDI player opens the .mid results.
